Verizon communications has said that Apple’s persistent suing of rivals, notably Samsung, will harm the US consumer, Reuters report.
The Cupertino, California-based shiny gadget maker has been making headlines of late by suing anything and everything that comes close to encroaching on their thousands of patents protecting such crucial concepts as how pictures are viewed and how many fingers can be used to control touchscreens.
Samsung have had numerous products pulled owing to Apple’s frequent litigation, whilst Google has said that Apple’s frequent use unnecessary patents is forcing up the cost of Smartphones.
"The requested injunction of certain Samsung products will harm Verizon Wireless and U.S. consumers," Reuters reported, quoting a court filing by Verizon, dated September 23.
"It also has the possibility of slowing the deployment of next-generation networks -- such as Verizon Wireless's -- contrary to the stated goals of the U.S. government."
