Sogeti UK, a leading provider of software testing and infrastructure services to corporate and public sector clients in the UK, has hired its 600th employee on the back of strong growth and a commitment to innovation and training.

The company has also announced the recruitment of 30 new graduates in 2012.
The company's headcount has increased reflecting the maturity of the UK software testing market and Sogeti's commitment to close client relationships, which has been highlighted in independent reports from industry analysts including Ovum and Nelson Hall.

Sogeti UK has remained committed to the recruitment and training of graduates, with its training programme taking on a total of 50 new recruits since 2011. The scheme is comprised of compulsory ISEB software test training and certification, assessment days, mentoring, exams, and on-site shadowing.

Many graduates have a computer science background - although a number have degrees in other fields including English, history or geography - but most of all, Sogeti requires that candidates have a passion and
interest in technology.

In 2013 Sogeti will, alongside the current graduate scheme, run an apprenticeship program to reflect its on-going commitment to the UK and its younger generation.

Sogeti credits itself with having a corporate
conscience and being very much investors in its people. Citing their main priority as making sure all employees develop rewarding careers, Sogeti says that next year they hope to take on an additional 20 graduates and 10
apprentices.
