Smaller providers on the broadband market are doing much more to keep their customers happy - and so keep retention levels high - new research has found.Independent comparison site has released its 2007 Customer Review Index - and found that more than a quarter of broadband users had changed their supplier in the last year.And the four top-scoring providers, on tests which gauged levels of customer service, price, reliability and technical support, were smaller names Be Broadband, Eclipse, Namesco and Madasafish. Big names like Sky and Talk Talk were far lower down the scale, both scoring an overall average of just four out of ten."Smaller companies place far greater emphasis on customer retention," said Jason Lloyd, head of broadband at moneysupermarket. "Because of this, their customers often enjoy the highest service levels within the industry."More than 4,500 people were quizzed for their thoughts about their broadband supply for the new index.© Adfero Ltd
