Nokia’s much anticipated E7 smartphone- boasting a responsive touchscreen and a full qwerty keypad- has been delayed until 2011.

Nokia announced their decision to miss the pre-Christmas rush in order to ensure optimal customer experience when they launch in the New Year.

With smartphones forecast to play an increasingly important role in business, Nokia’s handset is to be the latest installation in the recent smartphone ‘arms race’.

With models recently launched by HTC and Samsung, and Windows Mobile and Google’s Android platforms launched this year, the increasing competition between models, platforms and providers will likely lead to a price war that will see widespread smartphone adoption by business and consumers.
