Apple opened its biggest store in the world yesterday (Saturday) and legions of fans queued overnight to be the first to enter and experience the Covent Garden homage to all things ‘Apple’.

Housed in a Grade II listed building the new store is Apple's 28th in the UK and will employ 300 staff.

Writing on Twitter, Apple aficionado, Stephen Fry says; “What an address! No 1, The Plaza. If all goes wrong Apple will survive as real estate owners.”

As well as housing just about every Apple product under the sun the store will also host regular events, workshops and presentations.

Regular business events are running on Monday mornings and the next event is called; “iPhone 4 in Business Workshop” and takes place tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
