The UK’s biggest domain registrar -123-reg - has confirmed today that it has upgraded its Website Builder product, so that users creating sites through it will now be able to create high-quality websites — utilising all the benefits of the latest technology — from internationally acclaimed website builder BaseKit.com.
The BaseKit Andes platform is being rolled out to all existing and new website builder customers of 123-reg, and means they will be able to create their own sites with a more intuitive and easy-to-use interface. It will also give users far greater functionality and availability of widgets in their sites. With new design and editing features, users have the freedom to create websites on their own terms, without having to enlist expensive external help from web designers.
123-reg, which is part of the Host Europe Group of Companies, has been offering website creation products through BaseKit.com since June 2010. Thomas Vollrath, CEO of 123-reg, said of the Andes upgrade: “The move to the Andes platform will ensure our customers are given the best possible chance to create a website for their business that looks as good as most commercial sites. On this basis we were keen to roll this out as quickly as possible. First results show our customers are already delighted with the difference this upgrade has made to them.”
BaseKit.com's VP of Sales, David Meers commented: "We’re delighted to be rolling out BaseKit Andes to the largest domain registrar in the UK, 123-reg.co.uk. As BaseKit.com's sites are all WC3 compliant and designed using HTML5 rather than Flash, users can be sure that their sites will be future-proof.”
