In addition to those people that can have a direct impact in how your personal brand is communicated and therefore perceived externally, there are also those people who work with you behind the scenes to help you in terms of freeing up your head space and giving your peace of mind. These team members can make all the difference to your confidence, which is a very powerful part of your brand.

Your PA

Once you’ve found a good PA, you’ll wonder how you ever coped without. A good PA is invaluable and will pretty much be the first point of contact that people will have with you. If this personal assistant is flakey in any way, this will reflect on you. But the flip side to this is that if you’re flakey and they’re awesome — this too will make you look awesome! To get the best out of your PA, make sure they have an understanding of the bigger picture. When they’re trying to find time in your busy diary to shoe-horn in another meeting, it would be really useful for them to know what your overall objectives are, so that they can prioritise and juggle accordingly.

People use coaches for many reasons, but it’s usually because they’re looking to improve in some way and want someone to push and support them in achieving their goals. Finding a good coach will more than pay for itself and should always be considered when you’re looking to step up to the next level. The thing to remember with coaches, is that they’re not meant to have the answers for you, in the way a consultant or a mentor does. Instead they are trained in helping YOU to find the right answer for you. We are all different and what’s right for one person might not be for someone else.

If you’re ambitious and stepping up in your world, then working with a mentor can make all the difference. A mentor differs to a coach in that a mentor is hired specifically for the experience that they have. You want your mentor to be able to guide you along a path, one which they have probably walked already. This enables you to tap into their experience and contacts and by doing so you will be able to save significance time and effort, hopefully avoiding the pitfalls that they did!

Personal trainer

Essentially, this is support for your health and wellbeing. This might be a personal trainer for you while others may prefer a nutritionist, a therapist or a yoga coach. It’s important to look after your health and wellbeing. You only have one mind and body so treat it well. If you don’t, you’ll be ill and then can’t do any work at all. IT might seem an obvious point to make, but it’s one that if often overlooked.
