Ukraine has stopped buying gas from Russia after talks between the two nations broke down.
It is the second time gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine have stopped in the past 12 months.
Ukraine's state energy company, Naftogaz, said it would continue to transport Russian gas supplies to the rest of Europe.
Moscow cut-off supplies last summer as the conflict between Ukraine and pro-Russian rebels escalated. Russia raised its prices dramatically after Viktor Yanukovych was ousted as Ukraine leader in February 2014.
Russian energy minister Alexander Novak said the decision was "unfortunate".
A statement from Naftogaz said: "Since the additional agreement between Naftogaz and Gazprom is expiring on 30 June, and the terms of further Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine were not agreed at today's trilateral talks in Vienna, Naftogaz is suspending purchases from the Russian company."
