Heathrow will continue to operate at 33% capacity until 06:00 Thursday. With more snow forecast across Europe, this situation is subject to change and more cancellations may be announced. BAA are releasing updates via Twitter and smarphone apps.

Gatwick’s runway remains open for departures and arrivals, though yesterday’s disruption is still causing delays.

Luton is fully operational, though experiencing disruption due to the adverse weather’s effects on flights throughout wide.


The A1 south of Newcastle is heavily congested due to weather conditions slowing traffic to average speeds of 11mph, as are parts of the A3 Southbound and M11 south of Cambridge.


Closures are affecting service on the London Overground and Hammersmith & City Lines, while the District Line is part suspended. Good service is reported on all other lines.

Other services remain unchanged since our 15:45 update.

Poor weather is affecting services on the National Express East Anglia, Stansted Express, Arriva Wales, Heathrow Express and Northern Rail lines; while delays on the Kings Cross — Petersborough line remain severe.
