UK retailers snapped up 3 out of the 10 awards at the 5th annual Oracle World Retail Awards.

Burberry emerged on top, claiming the coveted ‘Retailer of the Year’ award, whilst Tesco was awarded the Multichannel ‘etailer of the year award’.

A recent £1 million fine for failing to protect customers and staff failed to tarnish Marks & Spencer’s reputation as the retail group acquired the ‘Responsible Retailer of the Year’ award.

Other categories went to Myer, whose innovative interiors saw the Melbourne-based retailer scoop the ‘Store Design of the Year’ award.
Adidas’ pioneering partnership with Intel for its adiVERSE ‘Virtual Footwear Wall’ won the US shoe retailer the ‘Business Innovation’ award.

“Each year, Oracle World Retail Awards winners continue to demonstrate excellence, innovation, creativity and above all, success,” Mike Webster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Retail. “Oracle is committed to supporting retailers so that they may deliver superior experiences to their customers and we offer our congratulations to Tesco for this achievement.”
