Having experienced technical problems with their online accounts, Tesco Bank have announced they will refund anyone who has lost money as a result.
The website is now, according to Tesco Bank, fully operational, and all claims for lost money will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, as long as customers can prove they lost money.
Tesco Bank began to experience problems last weekend after they transferred savings and loans products in-house, with the problem further compounded by the fact customers could not get through at the customer service telephone centre.
"Our savings system is fully operational and we are seeing higher than expected levels of customers using the site and accessing their accounts," a spokesman said.
"We are experiencing high call volumes at our call centre and have deployed additional staff to answer customer calls and are seeing reductions in waiting time. We are sorry for any inconvenience to our customers."
