The importance of the corporate sustainability agenda is growing bigger all the time. As businesses come to grips with resource efficiency, spiralling operational costs and stricter environmental regulations, those that develop a low-carbon strategy will now benefit in the future.
The need for businesses to embrace effective corporate sustainable strategies underpins the success of Sustainable Business - The Event, which returns to the NEC Birmingham from 24th - 26th May 2011.
The event aims to provide a platform for key sustainability drivers to be brought into focus. It attracts high calibre exhibitors, visitors, and environmental decision makers across the full spectrum of private and public sector organisations - eager to demonstrate how minimising environmental impacts can maximise profits. The three-day conference programme which runs alongside the exhibition, allows delegates to share the latest in thought-leadership, sector knowledge, and best practice.
Faversham House Group, which organises the event, is keen to build on the success of previous years. Laura Ayres, marketing communications executive, from BSI who exhibited in 2010, says: “The show was a huge success for BSI. The combination of speaker slot and exhibition space provided an ideal platform for us to launch our new products and services. We are delighted with the calibre and relevance of visitors and hope for a similar success next year.”
Event director Donna Bushell says: “In just a few years, Sustainable Business — The Event has become established as a leading forum for demonstrating best practice and offering guidance to businesses in developing strategies and operational processes that have sustainability at their core. It provides delegates with the information and clarity they need and to understand what financial support might be available, and how ultimately a low carbon strategy can benefit their businesses, now and in the future.
“We are all in a highly cost-conscious era, but the important thing to bear in mind is that for many, switching to resource efficient solutions has proved to be a winning strategy for their businesses in terms of both reducing their environmental impact, demonstrating industry leadership, and reducing their overheads.”
Sustainable Business — The Event, is part of Sustainabilitylive! which brings together the National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX), Brownfield Expo (BEX), the International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX), and Environmental Technology (ET).
