Attracting the best talent, managing employee turnover and improving employee engagement will be the focus of the 2011 Planning and Talent Survey, carried out by the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Hays recruitment.
Now in its fifteenth year, the annual survey benchmarks emerging trends in people resourcing and highlights topical issues that are high priority for organisations. The survey findings will be launched at the CIPD Recruitment Exhibition at Olympia, on the 15-16 June 2011.
“Our annual survey has for many years helped uncover emerging trends and priorities in recruitment,” commented Claire McCartney, the CIPD’s resourcing and talent planning adviser. “This year we are exploring a range of topical areas, including resourcing in turbulent times, employing younger workers and labour retention and turnover. We look forward to working with a leading recruiter to help offer further insight for our members and organisations throughout the UK.”
Hays’ director, Charles Logan, also commented: “We are delighted to be working with the CIPD. We know that smart planning with regards to people and talent management is essential in helping organisations drive efficiency and cut recruitment related costs. As the UK climbs out of a recession, this data will give employers valuable insight in how to manage a workforce with increasing demands for flexible working and career development.”
