Jacki McCartney, a partner in Somerset based organizational development consultancy Syat, has won an international accolade.
She has been awarded the ‘Organizational Development Leadership Award’ as part of the Global HR Excellence Awards, held annually at the World HRD Conference in Mumbai, India — one of the world’s largest human resources conferences.
The award recognises Jacki’s international contribution to the field of organization development. Since 1990, when Syat was established, Jacki has worked throughout the world with organizations as diverse as the US Army, Visa, Alstom Power, Oman LNG, Petronas, British Aerospace and DHL Express. In recent years, Jacki has expanded Syat’s presence in the Middle East where she is a regular Chairman, speaker and workshop leader at Conferences and assorted forum. As a result, Jacki has developed a reputation for delivering excellence and critically working with her clients to improve the performance of organisations, people and teams by focusing on the enhancement of internal capability to match market opportunity.
“Receiving the Organizational Development Leadership Award is a great honour,” says Jacki. “I love working in the Middle East and India. These markets have phenomenal potential to create a new business model around values driven leadership. The people I work with are hungry to learn from the successes of the West but not to repeat our mistakes. This makes our work wonderfully exciting and emotionally rewarding. My thanks to the Jury and Council of Board Members of the World HRD Congress for the award.”
As part of the World HRD Congress Jacki will be hosting a workshop on ‘Being Purposeful’, on how leaders need to have a higher ambition for themselves and the organizations they work for — above the sole purpose of making money.
"Jacki McCartney's leadership and contribution to the field of HR is well known. The position that she occupies in the fraternity is strategic and iconic. As a thinker and doer Jacki is a role model and a believer in change. I am delighted that the Jury and Council of Board members have conferred the Organizational Development Leadership Award to Jackie. The aim of the Awards is to recognize the Best of Best, organized for a professional cause. The objective at core is benchmarking talent & HR practices," says Jack Jones, Global Chairman, World HRD Congress.
