France centre Mathieu Basteraud has been dropped to the bench for their Six Nations clash against Wales on Saturday.
The giant centre is one of five changes made by head coach Philippe Saint-Andre, three of which are forced.
Remy Lamerat replaces Basteraud alongside Wesley Fofana and Brice Dulin comes in for Scott Spedding at full-back in the other unforced change.
Pascal Pape is replaced by Romain Taofifenua in the second-row. Pape was banned for 10 weeks for a knee to the back of Ireland's No.8 Jamie Heaslip. Heaslip suffered three cracked vertebrae and will miss Sunday's crucial game against England.
Morgan Parra comes in at scrum-half for the injured Rory Kockott. And Sofiane Guitone replaces Teddy Thomas on the wing.
Both teams have lost one of their opening two Six Nations fixtures, meaning anything but a win in Paris on Saturday will spell the end of their championship hopes.
