Samsung have delayed the launch of their new smartphone as a mark of respect to Steve Jobs.

The Nexus Prime smartphone was due to be released on October 11th, however, the company said that now would be the wrong time to introduce the device as the world mourns Apple co-founder Mr Jobs.

Samsung and Apple have, over recent months, been locked in a string of patent law suits, with courts in ten countries having been asked to adjudicate an apparently tit-for-tat series of intellectual property claims.

However, despite the ongoing legal battles Samsung makes good money from Apple, supplying components for their smartphones and tablets.
