Rocket Fuel, the company bringing rocket science to display advertising, today announces a significant boost to its UK sales team with two of the three new hires coming from AOL Advertising.
The powerful new team of senior sales personnel will report to Andy McNab, UK sales director at Rocket Fuel, who has been driving significant interest and sales opportunities with ground-breaking campaign results since he joined in May last year.
The new line up includes Joe Peters, former head of display, Deryck Wills, former head of agency sales, and Samantha Tillett, former senior client services head at Grapeshot.com.
This latest raft of hires follows the appointment of Phil Murrell, Andy Squire and Alistair Newton to the UK and European sales teams, on the back of an incredibly successful UK launch last year.
The rapid expansion of the UK sales team with high quality talent is testament to the foothold Rocket Fuel now has in the UK advertising industry. The expanded sales team will work to capitalise on the company’s existing momentum and the growing interest in full funnel digital advertising solutions, from measuring brand uplift to direct response in real time.

Rocket Fuel UK intends to mirror the success of its US parent, named one of America’s most promising companies by Forbes Magazine in 2011. It is moving to expansive new offices in Soho, London, having quickly outgrown its inaugural headquarters in The Strand.

Joe Peters worked at AOL Advertising for over five years, most recently as head of display leading the sales strategy and execution across Europe. He previously worked as a web analyst and then account manager at AOL Advertising, across major accounts including eBay, Yell and Marks & Spencer.
Deryck Wills was previously head of agency sales for AOL Advertising, managing direct client and independent agency relationships across the UK.
Samantha Tillett joins from contextual technology company Grapeshot where she was in charge of senior client services. She made her name in targeted advertising at AOL, managing premium agency sales and clients including Sky, Littlewoods and Amex.
