The cost to businesses affected by the riots throughout England may increase as many will still need to pay their staff despite the disruption.
Lawyers have explained that unless businesses have lay-off clauses in their employee contracts they will still need to pay their staff. Those with such causes are within their rights to stop pay and work.
However, it is not all doom and gloom for business, as the government have announced a fund to help businesses affected.
With widespread rioting throughout the UK businesses of all shapes and sizes have been affected, and insurances companies say they will act swiftly to aid the rebuilding process.
