Ofcom has launched a consultation into its view that current TV broadcasting rights for Premier League football are harming competition.
Premier League matches are currently divided between Skysports and BT Sport, and from next season, BT Sport will own exclusive rights to the Champions League.
The consultation comes after a ruling made by Ofcom in 2010. It ordered Sky to offer its sports channels to rivals, like Virgin Media for instance, for a price set by Ofcom.
The regulator will now review whether or not that has helped competition and remains "appropriate".
