George Osborne has outlined a clear message ahead of next week's budget, saying reform will be at the heart of it.

Speaking at the launch of the latest economic survey conducted by Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD), the Chancellor agreed with the OECD's message.

Whilst economic recovery is in process the OECD said the next two years will see a subdued period of recovery, yet the Chancellor remains upbeat ahead of Wednesday's budget.

"Last year's emergency Budget was a rescue mission, bringing us back from the brink of fiscal disaster and we will stick to the course that we have set out," the Chancellor said.

"The mission of this year's Budget will be to move from rescue to reform."
