The British Chambers of Commerce is leading a trade mission to Moscow to give British companies the chance to explore export opportunities in Russia.
The two-day mission, which has been organised in partnership with easyJet and the Russo-British Chambers of Commerce, allows Chamber businesses from across the UK to boost trading links with Russia at a time when its export market continues to surge.
With the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games approaching and an increased appetite for quality services and goods, Russia has become even more attractive for British exports.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for UK companies to show Russia exactly what Britain has to offer," Dr Adam Marshall, Director of Policy and External Affairs, said.
"Export links between the UK and Russia are growing rapidly, and with the Sochi Winter Olympics taking place next year, this is the perfect time for British businesses to seize export opportunities and build relationships with contacts in this part of the world.
“At a time when driving an export-led recovery is crucial to the UK’s economic success, the BCC is passionate about helping British businesses break into emerging markets and take their products and services abroad.
"This is just one example of how Chambers of Commerce around the country stand ready to help new and existing exporters boost international trade links, and is the reason why they are the go to organisation for business export support in the UK.”
