Ash continues to erupt from Iceland’s Grimsvotn volcano as leading air traffic controlling body, NATS, anticipate further disruption resulting from yesterday's cancellations.

Passengers are advised to monitor their flights before travel, though the severe disruption experienced during the Eyjafjallajokull eruption is unlikely due to the direction of prevailing wind and a larger ash particle size.

Though much ash is said to have dispersed to safe levels overnight and UK airspace remains open, disruption is still expected in the following airports:

 Barra
 Glasgow
 Edinburgh
 Prestwick
 Newcastle
 Carlisle
 Durham Tees Valley
 Cumbernauld
 Tiree
