Nintendo has named Tatsumi Kimishima has its new president following the death of Satoru Iwata.
Mr Kimishima has been managing director since July 2013, and has been with the Japanese video game giant since 2000 when he joined as head of the Pokemon department.
He is one of several new appointments which Nintendo says are part of a "large-scale revision" of its management structure.
Satoru Iwata had been Nintendo president since 2002. One of the most revered men in the gaming industry, Mr Iwata died at the age of 55 in July after losing his battle against cancer.
He was the leading figure behind many of Nintendo's most popular consoles and devices during his time as president, and was leading Nintendo into the mobile gaming market before his death.
