Morrisons are expected to confirm that they will open a seafood factory in Grimsby, and in doing so will create a minimum of 250 jobs.

The factory, which is presently dis-used and empty, is at Europarc, Grimsby's main business zone, and will provide Morrisons with a base to provide fish and seafood products for its growing number of stores.

Morrisons, which owns nearly 500 stores nationwide, plans to produce up to 10,000 tons of seafood a year from the site and are expected to buy some of their fish from the Grimsby Fish Market.
