Manchester-based IT company JMC has been awarded the prestigious accolade by the Best Companies organisation for excelling as an employer.
JMC received a ‘three star’ rating — comparable to the Michelin-style system of rewarding merit - for the second year in a row.
Only 113 organisations UK-wide achieved the highest rating and JMC was deemed “extraordinary” across all areas of the workplace.
The certification process is based on a survey system that gives an entirely independent view of staff engagement via a vigorous process of employee and employer questionnaires.
Andrew Burgess, managing director of JMC, says: “The three-star status gives a huge boost to our recruitment efforts and many of those who approach us for job vacancies come directly from the Best Companies website.”
“Attracting and retaining the most talented and dedicated staff has been fundamental to JMC’s success over the last 30 years and will remain so into the future. We’re extremely proud to say that our staff stay with the business for an average of 10 years, and our three-star position indicates this trend could well be set to continue.”
