Jaguar Land Rover are believed to be creating 1,500 new jobs by expanding their Merseyside plant.
The Halewood plant, where the Range Rover Evoque is produced, will expand in order to ensure the car manufacturer is able to keep pace with the increased demand for their products.
Whilst proposals for the expansion are believed to be at an early stage the investment is to be in the region of £100 million, and would create a further 1,500 jobs at the plant.
Whatever the outcome of the Halewood plant expansion Land Rover have confirmed a new £335 million engine plant in Wolverhampton.
