Katie Price has been named as the business personality that small businesses would least like to partner with, according to a new research by small business lender Everline.

Despite amassing a significant personal fortune through a number of successful commercial ventures, 34% of the 500 small businesses said that they would consider Ms. Price to be a ‘nightmare’ business partner. Comedian Russell Brand followed closely in second place (32%) and third place went to Simon Cowell, with 16% of respondents stating they wouldn’t want to partner with him at work.

But for some their biggest worry lies closer to home. Almost 1 in ten (8%) of those surveyed felt that their life partner would be a nightmare business partner, and this was felt particularly strongly amongst 18-35 year olds.

Russell Gould, managing director of Everline, said: “Running a small business takes passion, courage, tenacity and commitment. It’s important that you surround yourself with partners who share those values and have the skills, experience and vision needed to help the business grow. When personalities clash, it’s not just business owners but the business itself that suffers so it’s important to carefully consider who to bring on board for your business’s journey.”
