News that Jessops has won another award for their innovation in Multichannel Marketing completed an impressive performance for the photographic brand in 2010. As winners in the prestigious Best Multi Channel Marketing category at the Econsultancy Innovation Awards 2010, Jessops faced stiff competition in the category against respected brands such as Dyson, Flightglobal, Indicia, Nectar, Rough Guides and SapientNitro who were all competing for the coveted award.

Simon Joseph, Jessops' Head of E-Commerce, said: “Winning this award reflects the incredible results in e-commerce that the company has achieved over the last 18 months. Our continued investment has been recognised amongst an impressive shortlist of brands. We celebrated 75 years in 2010 proving that Jessops continues to offer customers the best possible retail experience both online and in-store. Jessops isn’t just a photographic retailer — our staff provide Advice For Life, offering everything from brief demonstrations of new camera features to full training courses.”

New results published by Jessops in January demonstrate that since the new CEO Trevor Moore took the helm at the end of 2009, the business has gone from strength to strength. The brand continues to see excellent growth through its online retail site www.jessops.com, with online sales now accounting for 22% of business.

The Econsultancy win is the most recent of several awards nominations and wins over the last 12 months for Jessops, including the New Media Age Effectiveness Awards, the Pixel Trade Awards, Gear of the Year Awards and, most recently, Best Multi Channel Retailer at the prestigious E Commerce Awards.
