Jaguar Land Rover have created 1,000 new jobs with the decision to operate their Merseyside plant on a 24-hour basis.
The introduction of the extra shift at the plant in Halewood has been done so in order to meet demand for the Evoque and Freelander models.
As a result, staff will work to a three shift pattern with the first night shift starting at 21:30 BST on Monday.
The new jobs, that will include production operators, supervisors and engineers, takes the staff to 4,500.
