The amazing thing about Integrated Live is that there really are so many amazing people giving the best advice out there in the marketing world. Even as someone working on the event, I spend my days in the run-up looking at which presentations I really want to see. I can't imagine what it's like for you!
That's why we're spending the next few weeks doing quickfire interviews with as many of the speakers as we can to give you a little insight into who they are, what they do and what they're going to be talking about at Integrated Live.
This morning's interview is with Matthew Stockbridge, growth analytics manager at Mondelez International.
What area of marketing do you specialise in?
How long have you been with the company?
How long have you been in marketing? 22 years.
Why do you do what you do?
I sometimes wonder that but the intent is to make better investment decisions.
Which marketing platform do you use the most (and it can't be your own!)?
TV is still king for us.
If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be (and you can't use your own!)?
Probably still TV and we are still learning how to use it most effectively. For us it seems to be able to deliver longer term brand building better than other channels as well as short term tactical campaigns if we need them.
What is your favourite thing about marketing?
Endless discussions about what value it has.
Is content still king? (If not, what is?)
Yes but increasingly you need cash too. No one seems to be talking about earned anymore.
In a sentence, what's your presentation about?
Some perspective on how we make choices around Advertising. That and maybe giving away some chocolate.
You can find Matthew's presentation (and maybe some chocolate!!) in the Content Theatre at 3pm at Integrated Live on 16 November, but you'll have to register for your free ticket first:
