The amazing thing about Integrated Live is that there really are so many amazing people giving the best advice out there in the marketing world. Even as someone working on the event, I spend my days in the run-up looking at which presentations I really want to see. I can't imagine what it's like for you!
That's why we're spending the next few weeks doing quickfire interviews with as many of the speakers as we can to give you a little insight into who they are, what they do and what they're going to be talking about at Integrated Live.
Today's interview is Jeffrey Lee, chief marketing officer at Userfarm.
What area of marketing do you specialise in?
How long have you been with the company?
How long have you been in marketing?
Too long! 15 years.
Why do you do what you do?
Video is the most powerful, engaging form of marketing. And I love innovative solutions that change the world. Crowdsourced video is just that. It is the only way for brands to produce creative, emotional, engaging video at the scale demanded by today's content-ravenous consumer, without breaking the bank.
Which marketing platform do you use the most? (And no, it can't be your own!)
If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be? (No, it can't be your own this time, either)
What is your favourite thing about marketing?
About traditional marketing, not much. About today's marketing maelstrom - the sheer pace and power of its consumer-driven creative chaos.
Is content still king?
Yes, DECENT content kicks ass. Make it video, add context and oh boy is it still king!
In a sentence, what's your presentation about?
To effectively enter the global video conversation, brands need to reverse creative control, liberating creativity from ivory towers to run free amongst real people.
You can find Jeffrey's presentation on video in the Social, Video & Mobile Theatre at 2:30pm at Integrated Live on 16 November, but you'll have to register for your free ticket first:
