While there have been many hardships and challenges in the last few months, it’s also important to recognise the positives. One major positive has been the growth of teams and the support that everyone has given to their colleagues.

Hand-in-hand with this is the resilience that so many people have shown, whether they have been asked to take on new responsibilities, work in challenging conditions or quickly adapt to new circumstances. A resilient team communicates well and is open, honest and non-judgemental. The businesses with resilient teams will be best placed to ride out this pandemic and come out stronger on the other side.

Business leaders have never had such an important role as they balance navigating the pandemic with ensuring that employees remain healthy, happy and engaged. From virtual away days to Zoom drinks on a Friday, leaders have had to tap into new ideas to support their staff.
