The government are to begin looking at scrapping what is seen as 'a large number' of health and safety rules following an independent review.
The consultation will look to start removing the first lot of arbitrary rules and regulations within the next two months.
The independent review, by Lofstedt, was aimed at reducing the burden of health and safety legislation on UK businesses whilst maintaining the progress made in improving health and safety outcomes.
As a result of the review a panel will be created that allows businesses to challenge any decisions made against them that they are unhappy with them.
