Grays of Westminster, the Nikon-only dealer with an international reputation, was presented with the What Digital Camera/Amateur Photographer 'Gold Winner' Good Service Award 2011, as voted for by What Digital Camera readers and website visitors.

This special award was presented to Gray Levett, founder of Grays of Westminster, at the Amateur Photographer Annual Awards ceremony on 20th January at One Whitehall Place, London.

Mr. Levett, whose business beat competitors including national and international chain retailers as well as large, web based stockists, said,

"We are delighted to be honoured with this splendid award and to be included in the company of such distinguished past recipients of this prize. We are very grateful to everyone who voted for us; it is much appreciated and not taken lightly. In today’s economic climate, customers are looking not only for value for money but also for the exceptional service we strive to offer at Grays of Westminster every day.”

It is particularly fitting that Grays of Westminster should win this award in their twenty-fifth anniversary year. A quarter of a century ago, Grays of Westminster began as a small mail-order company starting with just £100 and no stock. In just over two decades, they have grown and expanded to become one of the UK’s most successful and influential photographic companies, with a world-wide clientele.

Situated on a quiet street in the heart of Westminster, the single fronted shop with a small staff have learned every trick about SEO there is: despite their small size, the shop's website will register on the first page of Google search results for a range of camera related searches- beating much larger, international competitors.
