Goldman Sachs boss Lloyd Blankfein has said he plans to continue working despite being diagnosed with lymphoma.

In a statement on the bank's website, Mr Blankfein said: "Fortunately, my form of lymphoma is highly curable and my doctors' and my own expectation is that I will be cured."

Mr Blankfein said he will continue to work as he undergoes chemotherapy, but will vastly reduce his travelling.

Mr Blankfein said: "There are many people who are dealing with cancer every day. I draw on their experiences as I begin my own."
