Online gambling site Full Tilt Poker has had its licence revoked after the owners mislead authorities over the amount of cash to hand.

The US-run site, which is registered on the Channel Island of Alderney, had its licence revoked after a hearing by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) in July.

Further to that the site has been accused of defrauding players out of $440 million (£289 million).

According to AGCC the site has "fundamentally misled AGCC about their operational integrity by continuously reporting as liquid funds balances that had been covertly seized or restrained by US authorities, or that were otherwise not actually available to the operator."
