The Entrepreneur Wales Awards, produced by the organisers of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and the publishers of Fresh Business Thinking, has launched this week.

The Entrepreneur Wales Awards (EWA) will be the only awards to acknowledge the hard work and inspiring stories of Welsh entrepreneurs and businesses in Wales.

Like the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, the Entrepreneur Wales Awards focus on the story, not just the balance sheet.

Alix Popham, former Wales rugby international and Entrepreneur Wales Awards Partnerships Manager said: "Whether it's an established big business like Admiral, two former Wales rugby stars harnessing the links between sport and business or an unknown start-up doing great things, there are plenty of reasons to be cheerful about entrepreneurship in Wales.

"We believe that there is so much more to a business than the balance sheet and that's why we want to celebrate the incredible stories that Welsh entrepreneurs and their businesses have to tell."

Francesca Russell, Founder of the Entrepreneur Wales Awards, said: "Entrepreneurship is thriving in Wales and we need to start recognising the people who are driving our economy forward. The Entrepreneur Wales Awards are all about celebrating the hard work and inspiring stories of Welsh entrepreneurs and businesses in Wales."

Details for the inaugural 2015 awards will be released soon, but you can register your interest to keep up to date with all things EWA at www.entrepreneurwalesawards.com
