Former England footballer Danny Mills is one of a group of investors who have saved West Cornwall Pasty Company.

The investment group, Enact, is backed by investors including former Leeds United full-back Mr Mills and Tim Whitworth, founder of the Republic fashion chain.

The deal will save 250 jobs as they buy 35 stores, although a further 30 stores, which were not part of the deal will close as planned.
