Budget airline Easyjet have announced that they will amend their pricing amid government plans to ban excessive surcharges when buying tickets online.
Previously the company had charged an £8 booking fee for those paying with most forms of debit cards, but now there will be a flat-rate administration £9 charge.
In December the government announced that they would make all online prices clearer, so that consumers could shop around for the best price, without hidden booking fees.
"These changes have been made in order to address the concerns raised by consumer bodies and regulators across the EU whilst retaining a simple, transparent and consistent booking process for all passengers regardless of nationality," an Easyjet spokesman said.
