Synergy Partnership Ltd, which supports the home shopping and direct commerce sector via a range of events, publications and awards, has announced it has “adopted” Children’s Hospice South West via its fundraising activities for the next 12 months.

In recent years, the group has raised five-figure sums for charities including Macmillan and Action for Medical Research, via the national trade events it stages in London.

Managing Director Jane Revell-Higgins, says: “We have the opportunities via our events to raise awareness for our chosen good causes and to raise significant sums for them. We have amazingly generous client companies who are keen to get involved and it is great that Children’s Hospice South West will benefit from our efforts.

The group’s next event is the 21st Annual ECMOD Direct Commerce Show — a conference and trade exhibition which also includes an awards evening. It runs on November 30th and December 1st at the Business Design Centre, Islington, and is expected to attract some 2000 participants.

The event has been fully orchestrated by Synergy's Ilfracombe-based team and 12 of them will be in London producing and managing the entire event, along with specialist sub-contractors.

Visitors, exhibitors and delegates will be encouraged to make donations for entry into prize draws, to play the casino tables, and to bid in a silent auction, for a wide range of prizes that have been donated by many leading catalogue and online retailers.

Show participants will also be invited to have professional photographs taken at the show for a small donation and even have their own “video Christmas greeting” filmed by a professional crew, for uploading to their own websites.

The entrance to ECMOD Direct Commerce Show will feature a towering Christmas tree, festive backdrops and Children’s Hospice South West branding.
