Dell Services has teamed up with the Association for Informatics Professionals in Health and Social Care (ASSIST) in a move to demonstrate both organisations’ commitment to the UK Health Informatics workforce. ASSIST is a professional association supporting those working in and for informatics in healthcare.

Brian Derry, ASSIST National Chair, commented: “Dell has long been a valued supporter of ASSIST behind the scenes. I am immensely pleased to publicly recognise Dell's commitment to the health informatics profession, through a formal partnership agreement".

Tim Sheppard, UK Public Sector leader for Dell Services’, said: “We are delighted to be a part of the ASSIST community. IT and Information staff are key to developing systems that support more efficient delivery of care to patients. Through this partnership we hope to support development of the Healthcare IT workforce, encourage debate and share best practices”.

The partnership will provide a networking base for peer discussions around current key industry issues, such as the future of the National Programme for IT (NPFIT) and the impact of commissioning changes on Healthcare Informatics.
