A Conservative government would target full employment if elected at the next general election, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.
Spoken about previously, it is now an election campaign pledge.
The Prime Minister said he wants the UK to have "a rate of employment higher than the rate of employment in any of the other advanced economies".
He added that a job is not just a statistic, but that "it is about the self respect and dignity that work brings".
Mr Cameron pledged to treble the number of start-up business loans to 75,000 to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own business, describing small businesses as a the 'engine room' of employment and the economy.
