Cisco, the official network infrastructure provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is teaming up with Deloitte and Lloyds TSB to offer advice to businesses on how they can best prepare their workforce ahead of London 2012.

The free, live webinar will take place at 12.30pm on 24 November 2011 and will see Chris Daniels, Head of London 2012 at Lloyds TSB, Danny Bowerin, Deloitte’s London 2012 Sponsorship Manager and Phoebe Leet, Head of HR for Cisco UK and Ireland, answering questions put forward by seminar attendees.

Between them, the experts offer a wealth of experience: Phoebe Leet works to ensure the attraction, retention and development of Cisco’s staff. Danny Bowerin leads research into Games readiness for Deloitte and Chris Daniels worked on the Sydney Olympics before beginning his career with Lloyds — now heading up their sponsorship of London 2012.

Research undertaken after the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games revealed that 27% of employees took annual leave, 22% worked remotely and 18% travelled to and from work at irregular hours. Additionally, a recent survey** by Deloitte, official professional services provider to London 2012, found that one third of businesses expect the London 2012 Games to impact their operations— with very few making preparations to avoid this disturbance.

The panel will therefore be discussing the availability of temporary staff, the benefits of flexible working policies, and how best to capitalise on the business opportunities offered by the Olympic Games.
