As forecasts predict sizzling temperatures this weekend, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) expects the upturn in weather to have a positive impact on UK small businesses.
Recent FSB research from earlier this year found that more than half (55%) of UK small firms were impacted financially by the prolonged cold snap costing each business £1,580 in lost earnings.
“This has been one of the coldest years in recent memory so the weather this weekend couldn’t have come at a better time," Mike Cherry, National Policy Chairman, Federation of Small Businesses, said.
"The mini heat wave will provide a boost to small business around the UK, especially those in coastal areas. We need people to Keep Trade Local and support local businesses that struggled as a result of the weather earlier in the year.”
