British tour operator Holidays 4 UK has gone into adminstration, with over 12,000 holiday makers currently abroad.

The company, also trading under Aegean Flights, was put into administration by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), who said the company had suffered during the economic downturn.

According to PwC the Foreign Office said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) would ensure that all customers still abroad were able to fly home as planned.

Holidays 4 UK employed 18 members of staff, most of whom have now been made redundant.
