UK small and medium sized businesses can now stay better connected whilst saving up to £10,000 a year on business critical services thanks to new and exclusive deals negotiated by British Gas Business (http://www.britishgas.co.uk/business/) on behalf of its customers with some of the UK’s biggest household names.
In a unique initiative the company has used its purchasing power as the UK’s leading energy provider to negotiate substantial discounts with top companies including Vodafone and Demon Broadband to pass on to its 500,000 small and medium sized business customers.
The scheme, called Purchase Power (https://www.britishgas.co.uk/business/purchasepower/) and initially launched in May, has already made a real difference to British Gas customers and now an additional £5500 worth of deals are being added. These include 50% off Vodafone secure mobile email plus a free Blackberry for every employee, up to 30% off calls from THUS and 18% off Demon Business broadband.

The new additions to Purchase Power mean that 14 of the UK’s best known companies have now partnered with British Gas to offer deals on business critical services that can’t be bettered on the open market and will help its customers work smarter.
The scheme is British Gas’ latest initiative to support small and medium sized business in a fragile economic climate. Last year the business launched its SAVE (Small business Advice and Value Expertise) initiative in response to customer insight, which showed that smaller customers wanted a flexible approach to help manage their costs and debt. The SAVE initiative also offers advice and practical help to businesses looking to reduce their energy costs through efficiency measures.
