In the last two years, employment law specialist and health and safety advisor Bibby Consulting & Support has achieved results for companies in employment tribunals that have surpassed the national average, an analysis of their latest business performance shows.

Bibby Consulting & Support's advocates delivered a 10 per cent difference in successful outcomes in 2010/11 compared to the national average. At the same time, the company lost just 8 per cent of cases against a 12 per cent average across the country.

Using its own specialist legal teams, Bibby Consulting & Support also correctly identified significantly more cases in which clients would be at risk if a matter proceeded to a full hearing, saving clients the stress and wasted management time typically experienced during a hearing. The company's Acas COT3 settlement figure was 45 per cent compared to the national average of just 29 per cent.

In terms of overall successful outcomes, Bibby Consulting & Support achieved 61 per cent in 2009/10, 73 per cent in 2010/11 and 82.4 per cent in the current year to date — figures which Managing Director Michael Slade said were very impressive indeed.

"We are justifiably proud of the fact that in many ways we are running way ahead of the national average in terms of getting solid and successful results for our clients," he said. "This has to be good news for companies concerned about their vulnerability to complaints that they fear will progress to an employment tribunal."

Slade added: "Our overall success rate is very high and getting better year after year. At the same time, the proportion of tribunal cases lost on a national basis is 50 per cent higher than ours, but we are not resting on our laurels and are already looking at how we can improve on these impressive achievements."
