Google has been named as the best place to work in 2015 in the UK by jobs and career community, Glassdoor.
The search giant was joined by John Lewis, Microsoft, Accenture and Jaguar Land Rover in Glassdoor's Best Places to Work UK top five.
The list is based solely on anonymous and voluntary feedback given by employees about their job, work-life balance, career progression opportunities, workplace benefits, culture/values and CEO performance.
Based on a 1-5 scale, Google faired highest with 4.4, followed closely by John Lewis with 4.3. Just 0.1 separated Microsoft (4.1), Accenture (4.0) and Jaguar Land Rover (4.0).
Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder, said: “Millions of employees around the world are turning to Glassdoor each month to share their work experiences and research companies. It is this type of authentic feedback that helps others find jobs and companies they love, and allows us to honour employers who stand out for their efforts in providing an enjoyable work environment and culture. I am proud to celebrate the 2015 Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards winners in earning this tremendous achievement.”
