John Cridland, CBI Director-General, has, in the light of Baroness Thatcher passing away today (Monday), said she was the very reason the UK entered the world's first division of economies.
Baroness Thatcher's spokesman confirmed that she had passed away, at the age of 87, following a stroke.
“Baroness Thatcher’s leadership took the UK out of the economic relegation zone and into the first division," Mr Cridland said.
"What Baroness Thatcher did to reshape the British economy gave us a generation of growth.”
