Apple has suspended sales of its products online in Russia because the currency is too volatile to set prices.
The technology giant has stopped selling iPhones, iPads, iPods and other products after yesterday (Tuesday)'s events which saw the rouble drop into free-fall.
Apple raised its prices in Russia by 20% last month after the currency continued on its downward trend. The loss in value meant that it was cheaper to by products from Russia than elsewhere in Europe.
The rouble has lost 20% of its value this week alone, despite efforts by the Russian central bank to boost it by raising interest rates from 10.5% to 17%.
